I mean, really, why should the fact we didn't qualify prevent
us from commiting musical atrocities?
Scotland's World Cup Anthem 2006
(TTO Ally's Tartan Army by Andy Cameron and
We Have A Dream by BA Robertson)
We're staying home with Walter's Army,
We're going to watch it on TV.
And though it isnae fair,
We're glad we arenae there,
With a bunch of England fans in Germany.
I had a dream,
(He had a dream)
That we got through,
(We wanted to)
But when I woke up,
(Shouldn't have woke up)
It wasnae true.
(It's never true)
I hope and I pray,
(We hope and pray)
That if we do,
(Yes, if we do)
Then, Bonnie Scotland,
We'll get as far as Round Two...
We're staying home with Walter's Army,
We're going to have a cup of tea.
And maybe it's sour grapes,
But we'll make sure it's on tape,
If England lose a game on penalties.
